Losartan HCTZ tablets launch in generic format.
Arrow Generics announces the launch of its generics version of losartan potassium/hydrochlorothiazide (hctz) film coated tablets in 2 strengths. The product is launched at the same time as Arrow’s losartan potassium following the expiry of the patent covering losartan. Losartan potassium hctz film coated tablets are available as follows; 50mg/12.5mg & 100mg/25mg in packs of 28. The product will be available from most UK wholesalers from 2nd March 2010.
The availability of losartan hctz tablets marks the latest in what is now a long line of product launches for Arrow in the UK following the expiry of the originators patent. Over the last 7 years Arrow has successfully launched the following products on day one following the expiry of their patents; amlodipine (both besilate and maleate salts), bicalutamide, carvedilol, doxazosin, famciclovir finasteride, fosinopril, lamotrigine (both conventional and dispersible), lansoprazole, mirtazapine, pantoprazole, pravastatin, ramipril, risperidone, sertraline, simvastatin, sumatriptan, tamsulosin, terbinafine, topiramate (both tablets and capsules) and venlafaxine.
